OO distributed language, an extension of C++, portable to a variety of MIMD architectures. Fundamentals are :
1) provide easy-to-use parallelism,
2) achieve high-performance via parallelism execution,
3) facilitate the executions of applications across a wide-range of platforms. The MENTAT approach exploits the OO paradigm to provide high-level abstractions that mask the complex aspects of parallel programming
