Abstract: WATFOR-77 is an implementation of the American National Standard FORTRAN, Level 77. WATFOR-77 is based on the University of Waterloo's WATFIV-S compiler, and is replacing WATFIV at UIC. This document explains the major differences both in the language accepted by WATFIV and WATFOR77, and also in the compiler and compiler options. For a discussion on the differences between the ANSI standard FORTRAN at Level 66 and at Level 77, see the Computer Center document New Features in FORTRAN 77 and Comparison to FORTRAN 66.
