Abstract: A high level microprogramming language MPGS is described.MPGS programs consist of three parts; the machine description part, the function part , and the microprogram part. In an MPGS program a microprogrammer can write micro-instructions in any symbolic language defined by himself. By means of control statements in the function part, a high efficiency object code can be obtained. The language is useful for both writing microprograms and translating microprograms written by a language of one machine to those of another.
