This paper describes the use of ALGOL 68-RT by the HQ RAF Strike Command in implementing 400K of software for information storage and retrieval and for a combination of mathematical and data processing applications.

    The basic control structures of the user-apparent parallel processing are presented, along with sample code for setting up the online system and for utilizing the special facilities for display screen formatting.

    The paper concludes with a discussion of the benefits accrued from the use of ALGOL 68-RT by the HQ RAF Strike Command in the areas of structured programming, data structuring facilities, and programmer productivity.
