It describes several important modifications of the MIDAS program introduced at North American Aviation. These changes include among others, a considerably more efficient utilization of the IBM 7094 mem ory through the use of chains, a number of additional computing elements, and facility for the simultaneous read-out (plotting) of eleven dependent variables. In a later note (Simulation, Oct. 1966, pp. 232) Blechman describes additional progress in the improvement of the MIDAS program

The note describes some additional improvements introduced in the Midas compiler for simulating analog computer systems. The improvements include, particularly, a variety of diagnostics for indicating such faults as instabilities in implicit function generation, and difficulties.s with changes in the integration time interval.
