Rabinow EDP Language(ID:8154/)Language for controlling addressograph structures and converting from stencils to machine readable code Developed for the Rabinow Universal Reader References: The machine is capable of handling all existing metal address plate fonts. It will read them electronically at a rate of six or more lines of print per second and then accurately code this information on any of the conventional EDP inputs such as punched paper tape, magnetic tape or punched cards. The speed capabilities of the RUB are such that a one-million name and address list can be converted in less than 150 machine hours, as compared to several months using other means of conversion. In addition, one time conversion costs will be reduced considerably through making use of time on the RUH at the Rabinow Service Department. in Computer and Automation May 1961 view details |
