For a system which has the capability to display graphics on a CRT, the language must deal with the problem of description of spatial coordinates and diagrams on the screen. The INFORM language prepared by Philco-Ford has built in one approach to handling this difficult task. The author prepares the display, correct answer region, etc., in the form in which it is to appear on the screen; an assistant punches this information line by line on cards; and an automatic translator prepares it for interpretation by the operating system.
