the RAND-ABEL language  used to develop the RAND Strategy Assessment System.

used for Joint Integrated Contingency Model (JICM)

JICM is a deterministic warfighting simulation which models ground, air, and naval operations at the operational and strategic levels of warfare. It is a simulation of military conflict, including strategic mobility, primarily addressing regional conventional warfare, both joint and combined, in multiple theaters. JICM spans the interests of the analytic and wargaming communities, providing decision models to aid in wargaming and analysis. JICM is designed to model decision making at the operational and strategic levels. It provides the capability to easily define terrain (which is described as a link-node representation) to conduct operations in any region of the world.
