With these new features namely interval arithmetic, an optimal scalar product and expressions for a new data type called dotprecision, PASCAL-SC provides a tool to compute verified results of maximum accuracy for many standard problems in numerical analysis. The extensions are easy to use, allow the encoding of short but powerful programs, and can be implemented without loss of efficiency compared to the conventional floating-point arithmetic. in European Conference on Computer Algebra EUROCAL 85 LNCS 204 view details in European Conference on Computer Algebra EUROCAL 85 LNCS 204 view details in European Conference on Computer Algebra EUROCAL 85 LNCS 204 view details in European Conference on Computer Algebra EUROCAL 85 LNCS 204 view details in SIGPLAN Notices 23(08) August 1988 view details |
