  • Lian, Benjamin YH "Towards a new parallel programming language" Universoty of Tasmania Report R87-4 view details Abstract: We describe in fairly informal and broad terms the general characteristics of the parallel programming language occam-T, a derivative of occam. THe main throust of our efforts has been to push the development of occam in the direction of the higher level languages. This was done through additions to occam's data typing and data structuring facilities. Many possible new language features were considered at length; those that are discussed were thought to be the most essential.
