"Nucol: A New Language for NC", pp73-87 view details Abstract: A new language is proposed to overcome the limitations of the present NC languages, rationalize the structure of the APT like languages and introduce more recent techniques of programming. This new language is illustrated by means of examples and a survey of its most prominent features is made.

  • Beach, D.J. review of Ambrosio 1969 (NUCOL) view details Abstract: A new N/C programming language, a replacement for APT, is presented and compared with basic APT. Special features of this language, NUCOL, are free formating of statements, and implementation of FORTRAN and ALGOL operators, leading to a language with wider capabilities than APT as well as a greater degree of flexibility for the programmer.

The article would be of interest to those well advanced in the use of APT or any other N/C language who are beginning to feel the limitations of such languages.
